Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Review: The Laptop Equivalent Of Doctor Strange, & I Can't Complain

Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Review: In the ever-updating world of tech, every few years, a company decides that laptops have become too boring. Sometimes that leads to innovation. Sometimes it leads to disasters that belong in museums alongside 3D TVs and curved smartphones. Then there's the Asus Zenbook Duo. Instead of asking whether one screen is enough, Asus looked at laptops and thought: "What if we gave people two?" The result is a machine with dual 14-inch OLED displays, a detachable keyboard, Intel's latest Core Ultra processor, and enough multitasking potential to make spreadsheet addicts weep tears of joy. We reviewed the 2025 model last year, you can check out the detailed review below. ALSO READ: Asus Zenbook Duo OLED (2025) Review: The Laptop That Wants To Replace Your Desktop (At Nearly Rs 2.5 Lakh) Some things have changed for the better on the model, some, like the price tag, has taken a concerning turn. Naturally, ABP Live's in-house AI review bot, GennieGPT, has already fallen head over heels for the spec sheet. Let's see whether this futuristic contraption is genuinely useful or simply a very expensive way to flex in coffee shops. Asus Zenbook Duo Review: Quick Pointers What Works: Two genuinely useful 3K OLED displays Fantastic multitasking experience Surprisingly portable for a dual-screen machine Excellent battery life Premium build quality Strong keyboard and productivity-focused design What Doesn't: Costs Rs 2,99,990 Learning curve for traditional laptop users Not every app is optimised for dual screens Overkill for casual users Two Screens, Infinite Browser Tabs ✨ GennieGPT: TWO 14-INCH OLED DISPLAYS! That's double the productivity! Double the creativity! Double the happiness! Why would anyone ever use a normal laptop again? Shayak: Easy there, Gennie. You sound like a gym bro who just discovered protein powder. But for once, you're mostly right. Unlike many dual-screen gadgets that feel like science projects, the Zenbook Duo's second display is genuinely useful. You can keep Teams on one screen, work on a presentation on the other, and still have room to pretend you're paying attention during meetings. The best part? Both screens are identical 3K OLED panels. Asus didn't cheap out by giving you one good display and one "participation trophy" display. The result feels less like a gimmick and more like having a dual-monitor desktop setup squeezed into a backpack. ✨ GennieGPT: 144Hz refresh rate! OLED! HDR True Black 1000! One billion colours! This is basically a movie theatre attached to a supercomputer! Shayak: Yes, the displays are phenomenal. The colours are rich, blacks are genuinely black, and the OLED panels make everything from Netflix to PowerPoint look expensive. Will most people notice all 1.07 billion colours? Probably not. Will they notice how stunning the screen looks every single day? Absolutely. This is one of those rare laptops where even your Excel sheets look like they deserve a standing ovation. ✨ GennieGPT: Intel Core Ultra 7 355! AI NPU with 49 TOPS! The future of AI computing has arrived! This laptop is smarter than most humans! Shayak: Looking at social media lately, that's admittedly a low bar. The Core Ultra 7 handles productivity workloads effortlessly. Multitasking across two screens, dozens of browser tabs, video calls, spreadsheets, Photoshop, light video editing — it barely breaks a sweat. The AI features are there too, because apparently every product launched in 2026 must mention AI at least 17 times before leaving the factory. Most buyers, however, will appreciate the performance long before they notice the AI tricks. This isn't a gaming powerhouse, but it was never trying to be one. Think less Formula One car and more luxury business-class jet. Fast, comfortable and designed to get work done. ALSO READ: Asus TUF Gaming A14 Review: A Gaming Laptop Without GPU? What A Time To Be Alive Surprisingly Portable Wizardry ✨ GennieGPT: TWO SCREENS! ONLY 1.65KG! THIS DEFIES PHYSICS! Shayak: Let's not alert CERN just yet. The engineering here genuinely deserves praise. Folded shut, the Zenbook Duo doesn't look dramatically thicker than a premium ultrabook. Open it up and suddenly you've got a workstation that would normally require a desk and two monitors. At 1.65kg with the keyboard attached, you will feel the weight in your backpack. But considering you're carrying the laptop equivalent of a travelling productivity studio, it's a trade-off most professionals will happily make. ✨ GennieGPT: Detachable keyboard! Multiple modes! Laptop mode! Desktop mode! Sharing mode! It's a Transformer! Shayak: Thankfully without Michael Bay explosions. This flexibility is where the Duo really shines. Traditional laptop. Dual-screen workstation. Tent mode. Presentation setup. Most hybrid devices claim versatility. The Zenbook Duo actually delivers it. Once you get used to the workflow, going back to a single-screen laptop feels oddly restrictive. Like moving from a two-bedroom apartment back into a studio flat. ✨ GennieGPT: UP TO 32 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE! YOU ONLY NEED TO CHARGE IT ONCE A MONTH! Shayak: Battery life is genuinely impressive. The massive 99Wh battery keeps this machine running far longer than you'd expect from something powering two OLED displays. No, you're not getting 32 hours with both screens blasting at full brightness while rendering videos. But for normal productivity work, the endurance is excellent and comfortably enough for long flights, conferences and full workdays away from a charger. And unlike some premium laptops, Asus actually includes the charger in the box. Revolutionary, I know. ALSO READ: Asus Zenbook 14 Review: All That AI Talk, But It’s The Screen That Steals The Show Asus Zenbook Duo Review: Final Verdict The Asus Zenbook Duo feels a bit like Doctor Strange. At first glance, it seems unnecessarily complicated. Then it opens a portal and suddenly everyone around it looks a little less impressive. The dual-screen setup isn't a gimmick. That's the biggest compliment I can give it. Asus has spent years refining this concept, and this generation finally feels mature enough to justify its existence. Of course, the Rs 2,99,990 price tag will make your wallet perform emergency breathing exercises. This is not a laptop for everyone. But if you're a creator, developer, analyst, editor, trader, or someone who constantly works across multiple windows, the Zenbook Duo solves a real problem in a genuinely elegant way. The Asus Zenbook Duo isn't trying to replace every laptop. It's trying to reinvent what a laptop can be. And for once, the future actually feels useful. Should You Buy Asus Zenbook Duo? Yes, if you regularly multitask, travel frequently, and want desktop-like productivity in a portable package. Maybe, if you simply love cutting-edge gadgets and have the budget to indulge yourself. No, if your idea of productivity is opening Chrome and forgetting why you opened Chrome.

Gold Silver Rate Today (July 14): Metals Inch Up, Check Latest Rates In Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, More

Gold Silver Rate Today: Gold and silver prices moved higher on Tuesday, with the yellow metal gaining sharply in domestic futures trade as traders built fresh positions amid firm spot demand. Precious metals also drew support from positive global cues, even as surging crude oil prices and renewed US-Iran tensions kept investors alert to inflation and interest rate risks. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for August delivery jumped Rs 1,303, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 1,41,612 per 10 grams. Trading turnover for the contract stood at 1,095 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices to fresh positions created by market participants on the back of stronger spot demand. International gold prices also traded in positive territory. Gold futures in New York climbed 0.70 per cent to $4,030.57 per ounce. The gains in bullion came against the backdrop of a sharp rise in global crude oil prices. Oil climbed around 3 per cent on Tuesday to reach its highest level in four weeks after the United States reinstated its naval blockade of Iran and fresh military exchanges near the Strait of Hormuz raised concerns over global energy supplies. Brent crude surged as much as 2.82 per cent, or $2.35, to trade above $85 per barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained nearly 3 per cent, or $2.28, to $80.42 per barrel. In India, MCX crude oil futures soared 4.51 per cent, or Rs 332, to Rs 7,692, touching an intraday high as of 11:08 am. The latest surge followed a nearly 10 per cent jump in Brent crude during the previous session, its biggest single-day gain since May 2020. Escalating tensions between the US and Iran have renewed fears over the security of energy supplies from the Persian Gulf. While gold is widely considered a hedge against inflation, expectations of higher interest rates can restrict its upside. Elevated borrowing costs increase the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets such as bullion. A softer US dollar has also provided some support to precious metals. Weakness in the greenback makes dollar-denominated gold and silver relatively cheaper for buyers using other currencies, potentially improving international demand. Silver prices also moved higher, with spot silver gaining 0.8 per cent to $60.46 per ounce. However, the white metal remained on course for a weekly decline as investors continued to assess the impact of changing interest rate expectations. Geopolitical developments remain a crucial trigger for the bullion market. The US launched a third consecutive night of strikes on Iran following President Donald Trump's announcement of a multi-day wave of attacks and a renewed blockade on Iranian trade through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump also said countries benefiting from US protection of commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz would be expected to compensate Washington for the operation. Meanwhile, reports said Iran intensified its military response by launching drones targeting US assets in Kuwait and firing cruise missiles at what it described as a hostile vessel. Tehran also said its agreement with Washington had entered a crisis phase and that it would no longer honour the deal as long as the US continued to violate its commitments. With crude oil prices climbing and geopolitical uncertainty remaining elevated, bullion markets are likely to stay sensitive to inflation signals, movements in the US dollar and expectations surrounding the future course of interest rates. Ashadha Gupt Navratri Starts July 15, Know The Ghatasthapana Muhurta And Rituals

In Hinduism, the festival of Navratri is considered the most important time for the worship of Goddess Durga. While Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri are celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, Ashadha Gupt Navratri holds special significance for practitioners of tantra-mantra, Shakti sadhana, and spiritual worship. During this time, worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga along with the ten Mahavidyas is prescribed. The Ashadha Gupt Navratri of the year 2026 will begin on Wednesday, July 15th. This year, due to a special combination of dates, Navratri will last for eight days instead of the usual nine. The fast will be broken and Navratri will end on July 23rd. Let us learn about this year's Gupt Navratri date, Ghatasthapana Muhurta, the significance of the puja, and the complete Navratri calendar. Why Is Ashadha Gupt Navratri 2026 Special? According to the Vedic calendar, this year the Chaturthi Tithi is decreasing and the Navami Tithi is increasing. Therefore, the third and fourth Navratri will be celebrated on the same day, reducing the duration of Navratri to eight days. However, due to the increase in the Navami Tithi, the fast will be broken with proper rituals on July 23rd. From an astrological perspective, this conjunction is considered quite rare. It is believed that meditation, chanting mantras, and worshipping the Goddess during this time will yield special results. When Will Ashadha Gupt Navratri Start? According to the calendar, Ashadha Shukla Pratipada Tithi will begin at 3:14 pm on July 14, 2026, and will last until 11:52 am on July 15. Since most festivals in Hinduism are celebrated based on the Udaya Tithi, Wednesday, July 15 will be considered the beginning of Gupt Navratri. ALSO READ | Astro Analysis | Planning A Wedding? Ghatasthapana Auspicious Time: Date: July 15, 2026 (Wednesday)Time: 6:01 am to 10:17 amBrahma Muhurta: 4:11 am to 4:52 amOn this day, there will also be the auspicious combination of Pushya Nakshatra, Harshan Yoga and Siddha Yoga, due to which the importance of the puja increases manifold. Why Are 10 Mahavidyas Worshipped During Gupt Navratri? While the worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga is prominent in Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri, a special ritual for the worship of the ten Mahavidyas has been described in Gupt Navratri. These Ten Mahavidyas Include- Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Tripura Sundari, Maa Bhuvaneshwari, Maa Chhinnamasta, Maa Tripura Bhairavi, Maa Dhumavati, Maa Baglamukhi, Maa Matangi, Maa Kamla According to religious beliefs, worshipping these Mahavidyas bestows spiritual strength, self-confidence, mental fortitude, and the ability to face life's difficult situations. This time is considered especially important for Tantra practitioners. What Is The Importance Of Sadhana In Gupt Navratri? Ashadha Gupt Navratri is considered a highly secretive festival of Shakti worship. During this time, chanting mantras, meditating, and practicing spiritual practices between midnight and sunrise are especially fruitful. But this doesn't just mean tantric practices. Middle East: US Targets Iranian Naval Base With Sea Drone Strike Amid Hormuz Crisis

Sharp escalation between the United States and Iran, with the Strait of Hormuz emerging as the central battlefield. According to the report, the U.S. has begun targeting Iranian naval capabilities to weaken Tehran’s ability to influence shipping routes in the region. It claims that America used an unmanned “sea drone” for the first time in the conflict to strike Iran’s Bandar Abbas naval base, with footage reportedly released by U.S. Central Command. The report says the attack was aimed at reducing Iran’s ability to threaten ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. It highlights several factors contributing to rising tensions, including the breakdown of a previous understanding between the two sides, increased U.S. naval activity, continued strikes on Iranian targets, and concerns over oil prices and global energy supplies. The report also discusses the possible involvement of regional actors such as Yemen and the potential role of Russia and China in supporting Iran. Analysts say the future course of the conflict could depend on military resources, international alliances, and the response of major powers.

'We Strongly Condemn These Attacks': India On Hormuz Strike, Expresses Concern On West Asia Tensions

Of the 12 Indians onboard MT Al Bahiyah, one seafarer was killed while another sustained injuries. The government expressed condolences to the bereaved family and wished those injured a speedy recovery. “We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased Indian national and wish speedy recovery to those injured.” The MEA said India's Mission and Consulate in the United Arab Emirates are closely coordinating with local authorities to provide all possible assistance to the affected Indian seafarers. Hungary Passes Constitutional Amendment To Remove President Tamas Sulyok Amid Political Turmoil

Edited by: Jenipher Camino Gonzalez The Hungarian parliament passed a constitutional amendment to oust President Tamas Sulyok. This comes as Hungary's newly-voted Prime Minister Peter Magyar continues his push to dismantle the system and influence established by his predecessor, nationalist leader Viktor Orban. Magyar's pro-European party Tisza holds a two-thirds majority in parliament, a majority that lets them push through constitutional changes and cancel many of the policies implemented during Orban's 16-year tenure as Prime Minister. Why is Sulyok being ousted? According to Magyar, Sulyok did not fulfil his role by choosing to not interfere with Orban's antidemocratic steps, with removing Sulyok being one of Magyar's election campaign promises, bringing Magyar to argue that the majority his party received from the public in the election gives him the mandate to follow up on that promise. Orban's party has labeled the amendment an "unprecedented" assault on the country's democratic order. After it passed with 139 votes for and six against, Tisza's elected representatives who were in attendance applauded, while Orban's party, the far-right Fidesz, boycotted the vote. Orban himself did not attend the vote as he was traveling to the US to watch the World Cup. The amendment's official purpose was "restoring rule-of-law democracy." AlSO READ: MEA Summons Iranian Diplomat After Indian Seafarer Killed In Strait Of Hormuz Attack What happens next? Current president Sulyok has five days to sign the amendment, which would mean it enters into force. Should Sulyok not sign it, Magyar's Tisza said it would launch an impeachment procedure against him. The Prime Minister held a speech ahead of the vote, telling lawmakers that it was a "significant day in the history of modern Hungary and the transition to democracy." Hungary's presidential role contains a mostly ceremonial meaning, but the president is also responsible for signing legislation into law, with the person in office having the ability to ask the Constitutional Court to review laws passed by parliament. Microsoft Boss Satya Nadella Warns Firms Are 'Paying Twice' For AI

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has sparked fresh debate around enterprise artificial intelligence, arguing that businesses may be paying a far higher price for AI than they realise. According to Nadella, organisations are not only spending money on AI tools but are also handing over valuable internal knowledge that helps those systems become more effective. Sharing his views in a detailed post on X, as reported by The New Stack, Nadella described the issue as a “reverse information paradox,” a concept he says turns a long-standing economic theory on its head. Why Nadella Says AI Comes With a Second Cost Nadella referenced Nobel Prize-winning economist Kenneth Arrow’s information paradox, which traditionally focuses on the challenge sellers face when trying to prove the value of information without revealing it. According to the Microsoft chief, enterprise AI changes that dynamic. Instead of sellers carrying the burden, businesses using AI are often required to reveal their own processes, expertise and institutional knowledge to achieve better results from AI systems. “You essentially pay for intelligence twice, once with money, and again with something even more valuable: the proprietary knowledge you must reveal to make that intelligence useful,” he writes. “The better you want the model to perform, the more of that knowledge you have to feed it.” Nadella argued that the more organisations rely on AI, the more internal know-how becomes embedded within those systems. ALSO READ: 'This Is Painful': Xbox CEO Addresses Staff After Microsoft Cuts 3,200 Jobs The Growing Value of AI ‘Exhaust’ A key part of Nadella’s argument revolves around what he calls AI “exhaust”: the trail of information generated through everyday interactions with enterprise AI systems. He explained that every prompt, correction and evaluation contributes to a growing repository of organisational knowledge. “Every correction is distilled into institutional know-how,” Nadella writes. “It’s the kind of knowledge a competitor could never buy, and the kind that leaks almost imperceptibly: trace by trace, correction by correction, eval by eval.” Over time, these interactions can create a highly valuable internal knowledge base that reflects how an organisation operates. Nadella suggested this accumulated expertise could eventually become more valuable than the original documents and data used to train the system. ALSO READ: Microsoft's DART Report Exposes Ransomware Attack With A Hidden Second Hacker Debate Over Data Access and AI Trust Nadella’s comments arrive amid wider discussions about data privacy and enterprise AI security. He criticised what he sees as an imbalance in the AI ecosystem, where model providers can learn from public information while customers face restrictions around using knowledge generated within their own organisations. The remarks are notable because Microsoft itself offers Copilot, an AI assistant designed to work across enterprise data through Microsoft Graph. Copilot can access documents, emails, chats and other information that users are authorised to view. Security experts have previously raised concerns about the potential exposure of sensitive information through AI systems when access controls are not properly configured. Studies and audits have highlighted risks related to oversharing of confidential records, salary details, merger information and customer data within enterprise environments. Microsoft has maintained that data accessed through Microsoft Graph is not used to train its foundation AI models and that Copilot adheres to existing permissions and security controls. Nadella’s Vision for Enterprise AI To address these concerns, Nadella outlined a framework aimed at helping businesses retain control over their AI-driven knowledge. His recommendations include keeping organisational memory within enterprise environments, developing private evaluation systems, separating orchestration layers from individual AI models and ensuring companies can switch between models without losing accumulated knowledge. Nadella also cited Palantir CEO Alex Karp while emphasising the importance of ownership and control in AI deployments. “What the technical customers want is control over their compute, their models, their data stack, and their alpha,” Nadella quoted Karp. “They want to know they own the means of production, and it’s not being transferred to someone else.” The broader message from Nadella is clear: companies should focus on retaining ownership of the knowledge generated through AI interactions, ensuring the long-term value created by those systems remains within the business rather than flowing to external providers.

Bank Holiday This Week: SBI, HDFC Bank, Others Closed For 4 Days Between July 13-19

Planning a trip to your bank this week? Checking the holiday calendar before stepping out could save you an unnecessary visit. Bank branches in parts of India will remain closed on multiple days between July 13 and July 19, 2026, owing to regional observances and the weekly Sunday holiday. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will observe four holidays during the week across different cities and regions. However, not every holiday will apply nationwide, with several closures linked to local festivals and observances. Bank Holidays Between July 13 And July 19 Customers of SBI, HDFC Bank and other public and private sector lenders should check whether a holiday applies to their city before planning branch-related work. Banks will remain closed in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun and Imphal on July 16 for Ratha Yatra/Kang (Rathajatra)/Harela. On July 17, bank branches in Shillong will be shut to mark the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh. Banks in Gangtok will remain closed on July 18 for Drukpa Tshe-zi. The following day, July 19, is a Sunday and banks across India will remain closed for the regular weekly holiday. Are Bank Holidays The Same Across India? No. The RBI's bank holiday calendar includes national, regional and religious observances, meaning the dates on which branches are closed can differ from one state or city to another. A regional festival, for instance, may result in bank closures in selected cities while branches elsewhere continue to operate normally. Customers should, therefore, verify the holiday applicable to their location before visiting a branch. Also Read : Monsoon Trouble For India's Farms? Kharif Sowing Falls 16%, Pulses Hit Hardest RBI Bank Holiday Calendar For July 2026 The RBI holiday calendar lists non-working days for banks under categories including the “Negotiable Instruments Act” and “Banks’ Closing of Accounts”. According to the calendar, the regional bank holidays listed for July 2026 include: July 16: Banks closed in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun and Imphal for Ratha Yatra/Kang (Rathajatra)/Harela. July 17: Banks closed in Shillong to observe the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh. July 18: Banks closed in Gangtok for Drukpa Tshe-zi. July 22: Banks closed in Agartala for Kharchi Puja. Saturdays And Sundays Add To July Bank Closures Apart from regional holidays, banks also observe mandatory closures on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, along with all Sundays, under RBI guidelines. July 2026 has four Sundays, July 5, 12, 19 and 26, when bank branches will remain closed nationwide. Banks also remained closed on July 11, the second Saturday of the month, and will be shut on July 25, the fourth Saturday. Customers who require in-branch assistance should factor these dates into their banking plans. Online Banking Services To Remain Available A closed bank branch does not necessarily mean banking transactions have to stop. Digital banking facilities generally remain accessible during bank holidays, allowing customers to carry out a range of financial transactions without visiting a physical branch. Customers can use UPI and their respective bank's mobile application to make payments or receive money. These services operate round the clock, although temporary disruptions may occur during scheduled maintenance. Banks typically inform customers about planned maintenance. What Banking Services Can Customers Access? Customers can also use digital banking channels for fund transfers and other available banking facilities during branch holidays. Fund transfer requests can be made through NEFT and RTGS facilities. Banking customers may also access services related to demand draft requests and chequebook forms. Card-related facilities covering credit, debit and ATM cards are also available through relevant banking channels. Other services, including account maintenance requests, setting up standing instructions and locker applications, can also be accessed through the facilities offered by individual banks. With multiple regional holidays falling between July 13 and July 19, customers planning branch visits should check the RBI calendar as well as the holiday applicability in their city before heading to the bank.
