Skoda is preparing to launch the new Slavia facelift soon with an expected launch in August 2026. The new Slavia facelift will come with new design upgrades and a new look along with a refreshed cabin much like the Kushaq facelift. Design, Features and Powertrain Updates The new Slavia will gain a new look front end and a new grille with a light bar while the rear styling would be new as well. The interiors will have a new touchscreen which would be larger in size and gain a new infotainment system. Expect more features too including a rear massager which is present on the Kushaq facelift as well. The new Slavia mechanically will gain a new 8 speed torque converter automatic gearbox with the 1.0 TSI engine while the 1.5 TSI petrol will continue only with a 7 speed DSG automatic. Pricing and What to Expect The new Slavia with a new look will inject more interest into the sedan space which also recently saw the launch of the new Honda City. We expect prices to remain competitive and the Slavia facelift will retain its aggressive pricing although the prices could increase a bit. The new Slavia follows from an action packed year with multiple launches like the Kodiaq RS to the new Kushaq Facelift while more launches are coming up. The Slavia facelift though is very important for Skoda and we expect to hear more details soon leading upto to the launch of the car.

Kia Syros EV Has One Big Challenge: Can It Reverse Slumping Sales?

The Syros sales have been falling month on month while now it is one of the least selling cars in its class with sales being triple digits for the past four months. The question is whether the EV will help sales and lift the Syros in terms of its place in the sub compact SUV segment. The EV version will come in soon and it will add to the sales but how much is the question. While it has two battery packs, the Syros EV would be expected to be more expensive than the ICE Syros which is already priced on the higher side. Pricing, Design and Outlook Hence, expect the Syros EV to be priced around Rs 18 lakh plus for the top-end version. That means the Syros EV would be around Rs 5 lakh more expensive over the ICE version while making it comparable to 4m plus EVs at this price. Design wise there is hardly any change over the Syros ICE version which could be an issue as one of the main reasons for the poor sales of the Syros have been the polarising looks which have been too radical. The interior though is feature packed and gets some tweaks with more changes over the ICE. Overall, it remains to be seen if the total Syros EV finally breaks into four figures rather than the current sales which are some of the lowest in class in terms of under 4m SUVs. The Syros EV will be launched soon in a few days time. Also Read : HDFC Bank Falls Over 4% After Earnings: Here's Why The Street Remains Bullish

Tata Sierra EV QWD Offroad Review: Way More Capable Than You Think!

I have attended many off-road events and mostly there are a bunch of obstacles but they are easy while designed to be within a vehicle's limit. With the Sierra EV QWD I was surprised with some of the obstacles which were pretty serious by any stretch of the imagination. Serious Obstacles, Confident Performance We started off with some rocks while the ground clearance of 205mm of the Sierra EV proved no hassle. Then tracking the steep rises and going down to moving up two wheels, all were also dispatched easily. Some were quite serious with you having to climb up and then point the nose towards the sky while gently coming down with a mild jab of the brakes. With off-roading you need to be slow and gentle with your inputs while pushing hard will only get you stuck. With the Sierra EV we noticed the short overhangs and the compact size which helped while the instant response of the motors also was useful. Trying the various terrain modes, we used Mud and Sand which helped also. That's debatable but it is way more capable than its rivals due to AWD which adds a layer of go-anywhere ability. Features like the 540-degree camera also came in handy to check the underside. There were no uncomfortable scrapes or noises as the car handled it all. While we may think EVs are fragile, the Sierra EV proves otherwise but all of this does consume more range. That said, EVs now seem to make more sense as go-anywhere cars provided chargers are around.

Lexus LM 350h India Review: Why Ranbir Kapoor And Hardik Pandya Own One

The Lexus LM is one of the most popular cars amongst celebrities and business tycoons. Sales have in fact risen and the LM commands a waiting list. Ranbir Kapoor to Hardik Pandya, all own this car and one look at it shows why as the LM is perhaps even more luxurious than a Rolls Royce! Yes, we are not kidding! A Rear Seat Like No Other The LM 350h is like a moving boardroom on wheels and similar to a luxury apartment. Hence, it is best to start from the interior only and by that we mean the rear seat! There are many configurations but the captain seat with the individual seats and the massive partition with a 48-inch monitor is what owners end up choosing. Of course, getting in via those massive doors is done with either the key remotely or your chauffeur can operate them from separate controls on the main dashboard. Once you climb in, it is like a luxury private jet or wait, even a jet does not have so much room on the inside! You sit high on the seat and they are soft but you don't sink into them. Then there are the controls along with some even above you! There are individual touchscreens too and they are used for the seat heating/cooling/massage and ventilation plus extended leg rest and more. The cushions and even the thigh support adjusts in every way while the large windows bring in a lot of light while there are electric sunblinds of course. Then the 48-inch monitor can be configured and you can stream anything with even a partition plus a 23-speaker audio system to enjoy all of that. Of course there is an inbuilt table for you to sign your big deals from plus a fridge to cool your black water or champagne, I guess! Up front the cabin is luxuriously trimmed but not too flashy with subtle high-quality wood trim and the best of Japanese luxury. Ride And Performance With all this, it's hardly of any importance as to how the LM is to drive as it's a chauffeur-driven vehicle but the ride is calm and the cabin is absolutely silent. However, the hybrid system is audible when driven quickly so as to move from the paparazzi! The 2.5-litre 250bhp hybrid engine otherwise is to the point and is now E20 compliant too. It is not a conventional luxury car from behind the wheel and the size is a handful but again that's a problem for the chauffeur here! The mileage is around 10kmpl. RCB Coach Makes Big Call On England Head Coach Job

Andy Flower England Coaching Job: Former England and current Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) head coach Andy Flower has ended speculation surrounding a possible return to the national setup by confirming he will not replace Brendon McCullum as England's new Test coach. Despite holding discussions with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Flower has decided to continue his commitments in franchise cricket, including with RCB in the IPL and London Spirit in The Hundred. The Zimbabwean coach, who previously guided England between 2009 and 2014, had emerged as the leading candidate following McCullum's departure from the Test role. Flower Confirms Decision After ECB Talks Speaking during a media interaction for London Spirit, Flower revealed that he had spoken directly with ECB managing director Rob Key regarding the vacant position. "I have spoken to the ECB. I am aware of the head coach vacancy of the England national team, I have spoken with Rob (Key) at the ECB on that topic. The bottom line for me is I'm very happy in the work that I'm doing at the moment." Read More: White House Backs Argentina In FIFA World Cup Falklands Banner Controversy His comments effectively end any hopes of a second stint with England, at least for the foreseeable future. Franchise Commitments Take Priority Flower explained that balancing England's schedule with his franchise responsibilities would not be practical, particularly because the IPL overlaps with the English domestic summer. "For me, personally, I don't think I could have both, especially with the IPL being held in the first couple of months of the English summer," The veteran coach has enjoyed considerable success on the franchise circuit in recent years, becoming one of the most sought-after names in world cricket. His work with RCB and London Spirit has further strengthened his reputation, making a return to full-time international coaching a difficult proposition. With Flower officially ruling himself out, the ECB must now continue its search for a successor to McCullum as England look to appoint a new mentor for their Test side ahead of the next phase of their red-ball calendar.

Maruti Suzuki Faces Grand Vitara E20 Setback, Says Fuel, Not The SUV, Was At Fault

Maruti Suzuki has said it will challenge a consumer court order that directed it to replace a Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid or refund its owner, maintaining that the SUV was fully compatible with E20 petrol and that the issues raised in the case were caused by contaminated fuel. The ruling, delivered by the Raipur District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, is being viewed as India's first known consumer dispute directly linked to E20 petrol. Carmaker Says Vehicle Was E20-Compatible Responding to the order, Maruti Suzuki rejected the conclusion that the vehicle suffered from an E20 compatibility issue. "The car in this case was an E20 compatible car, fully equipped to handle E20 fuel and so disclosed in the owner's manual. There is evidence of contamination in the fuel collected from the customer's vehicle. Several other relevant facts have also not been reflected in the order," the company said in a statement. It added that it would "take necessary steps to challenge the impugned order before appropriate higher forum in accordance with law." According to the company, the dispute centres on fuel contamination rather than any defect in the vehicle's ability to run on E20 petrol. Why The Consumer Commission Ruled Against Maruti Suzuki The Commission ruled in favour of the customer after concluding that repeated repair attempts had failed to rectify the recurring problem. It also observed that E20 petrol has become the standard fuel available at many filling stations, leaving consumers with little practical option but to use it. In its view, the defects continued despite multiple visits to authorised service centres. The order directs Maruti Suzuki and the dealership to either replace the SUV with a new E20-compatible model within 45 days or refund Rs 20.50 lakh, which includes the vehicle's purchase price, registration charges and insurance. The Commission also awarded Rs 1 lakh as compensation for mental harassment and Rs 10,000 towards litigation expenses. It said interest would apply if the payment was not made within the stipulated period. Also Read : US To Limit Student Visas To Four Years: What Trump's New Immigration Rule Means Customer Alleged Repeated Performance Issues The complaint was filed by Raipur resident Dr Premraj Debta, who purchased a Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid Zeta+ in June 2024. The SUV had been manufactured in January 2023. According to the complaint, the vehicle started developing stalling and performance-related problems within five months of purchase. Dr Debta alleged that authorised workshops cleaned the fuel tank several times after contamination was detected, but the same issues resurfaced after each repair. The complaint also referred to a fuel sample that was tested at a government-recognised laboratory. It reportedly found a white, curd-like substance identified as ethanol. The customer further claimed that he had not been informed while purchasing the vehicle that it might not be fully compatible with E20 petrol. Case Headed To Higher Forum With Maruti Suzuki deciding to contest the ruling, the dispute is expected to move to a higher judicial forum. The appeal is likely to determine whether the recurring problems were caused by contaminated fuel, as claimed by the manufacturer, or whether they point to deficiencies that warranted the consumer commission's order for replacement or refund. ‘Soft P*** Packaged As Entertainment’: Internet Furious Over B Praak, Sonu Thukral’s ‘Jugni’ Song Filmed On Jacqueline Fernandez

B Praak, Sonu Thukral and Jacqueline Fernandez have come under fire on social media over their latest song, Jugni. Many branded the song sung by B Praak and Sonu Thukral as “soft p***” rather than entertainment. Several users have also urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to ensure such content is restricted to adult audiences, accusing the makers of promoting vulgarity and objectifying women. ‘Jugni’ Song Faces Backlash Directed by Arvvindr S Khaira, Jugni features Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead, with lyrics and composition by Fxrzii. The controversy stems from a blurred scene featuring Jacqueline Fernandez in the music video that many viewers claimed revealed more than it should have. This led to a wave of criticism online, and rightly so.  ALSO READ| ‘Sita Ke Pati Ka Naam Lekar, Nita Ke Pati Ka Kaam Kar Rahe’: Kunal Kamra’s Veiled Dig At Govt During CJP Protest ‘Soft P*** Packaged As Entertainment’: Internet Reacts The music video has sparked a flood of reactions on social media, with many users expressing disappointment over its content. “This isn’t music. It’s soft p*** packaged as entertainment. Sonu Thukral keeps pushing vulgarity in the name of songs, and now this latest track featuring Jacqueline Fernandez crosses every limit. Shame on everyone involved - not expected from you, B Praak paaji. The Censor Board must explain how such content keeps getting cleared while children are exposed to its promotions. This content deserves immediate scrutiny,” one user wrote. ALSO READ| Deepika Padukone Shares Instagram Story In Sonam Wangchuk’s Support? You can put an 18+ disclaimer, but clips still appear in ads and promotional content. How will you stop children from seeing them? Imagine kids watching this soft p***. The Censor Board should do something.” A third user wrote, “Just how desperate has Bollywood become for cheap attention that it has to deliberately publicise such skin show to get people to watch? This content is already bad for adults, but imagine what children are being exposed to. Expected better from B Praak, Sonu Thukral and Jacqueline Fernandez. As celebrities, people look up to you, and this is what they get served?” Another post read, “Deeply disappointed by Sonu and B Praak. Entertainment should inspire, not rely on explicit content for attention. Public figures have a responsibility, especially when their work reaches millions of young viewers. We cannot stay silent when content we believe is inappropriate is being normalised. Our children deserve better role models and better entertainment. Shame.” At the time of writing, neither B Praak, Sonu Thukral, Jacqueline Fernandez, nor the makers of Jugni had publicly responded to the criticism.

A 1971 prediction by Stephen Hawking just came true with a cosmic collision 1.3 billion light-years away: Now scientists are trying to understand how

A cosmic collision of two black holes confirmed Stephen Hawking's fifty-year-old prediction. The observed increase in the merged black hole's area precisely matched theoretical calculations. This event provided the most accurate observational evidence for Hawking's black hole area law. Scientists collaborated across LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA to analyze the gravitational wave signal. The precise data reinforces fundamental principles of modern physics and cosmology.
