Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the attacks on X, without naming Wildberries. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 First Impressions: Sorry Apple, Samsung Got There First

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 First Impressions: For months now, the rumour mill has been buzzing about Apple working on its first foldable. Not just any foldable, but a smaller, more pocket-friendly one that's said to make foldables feel less bulky and more everyday-friendly. Well, Apple may still be working on it. Samsung, on the other hand, has gone ahead and launched one already. After spending some time with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, I genuinely think Samsung may have beaten Apple to a trend it was expected to define. The more time I spent with the phone, the more I fell in love with it. It's compact without feeling cramped, powerful without trying too hard, and somehow makes carrying a foldable feel... normal. ALSO READ: Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 1-Month Review: So This Is What Living With A 'Peak' Phone Feels Like Big Foldables Had Their Moment. This One Fits Right In Samsung has completely reimagined what a Fold can be. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 sports a 5.5-inch cover display that unfolds into a 7.6-inch inner screen, but the real story isn't the numbers. It's the size. At just 201g, the Fold 8 feels incredibly light in the hand. It's slim, easy to grip and slips into your pocket without constantly reminding you you're carrying a foldable. Yes, it's ever so slightly thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, but unless you have both devices side by side, you'd be hard-pressed to notice. The Foldable I Actually Want To Read On I expected to spend my hands-on multitasking on the new Fold 8. Instead, I found myself opening articles, browsing websites and imagining reading entire books on it. The inner display's 3:4 portrait aspect ratio feels tailor-made for reading. News articles look spacious, e-books feel almost like reading a paperback, and PDFs no longer require endless zooming and scrolling. Switch to landscape, and the display transforms into a clean 4:3 canvas that's brilliant for Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. Videos feel immersive without awkward black bars dominating the experience. Samsung has also equipped the Fold 8 with a 3,000-nit peak brightness display and an anti-reflective coating, making it one of the most comfortable foldable screens I've used under bright lighting. Honestly, I can't wait to curl up with this and finish an entire novel. The Crease Gets The Titanium Treatment Too The Fold 8 doesn't miss out on Samsung's biggest display innovation either. Like its Ultra sibling, it gets the new Flex Titanium display structure, designed to make the folding display stronger while reducing crease visibility. Samsung says the titanium-based layers beneath the OLED panel offer significantly greater rigidity than previous materials while remaining incredibly thin. The result is a display that feels more solid when fully unfolded, with a crease that's noticeably less distracting during everyday use. No, it hasn't disappeared completely. But for the first time, I stopped thinking about it after a few minutes. And that's probably the bigger achievement. AI That Knows Who You Came To Record Samsung has also added a genuinely fun AI camera feature called My Fan Cam. Simply pick a person in your frame, and the AI automatically tracks them while intelligently reframing the shot as they move around. Whether you're filming your child during a school performance, your favourite singer at a concert or a cricketer smashing sixes, the camera keeps your chosen subject front and centre without you having to constantly pan or adjust your framing. It's one of those AI additions that actually solves a problem instead of creating one. The camera hardware itself is solid too, featuring 50MP wide and ultra-wide sensors, 10MP selfie cameras on both the cover and inner displays, along with support for 8K video recording. Flagship DNA Remains Untouched Powering everything is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the same flagship chipset found across Samsung's premium lineup. Keeping it running is a 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, which should comfortably last through a full day, though we'll save our final verdict until we've completed our battery tests. Performance during my brief hands-on felt exactly as you'd expect from a modern Samsung flagship: fast, fluid and effortless. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8: Early Verdict Foldables have spent years trying to become thinner, lighter and more practical. Ironically, it took Samsung making one smaller for everything to finally click. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 isn't trying to outdo the Ultra. It isn't trying to be the biggest foldable on the market. Instead, it focuses on something arguably more important: being a foldable you'd actually want to carry every single day. And here's the interesting bit: If the rumours are true, Apple has been working on a compact foldable of its own. But by the time Cupertino finally enters the category in September (as expected), Samsung won't just have arrived first, it will already have a serious head start. So, sorry, Apple. Samsung won this race.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra First Impressions: Titanium Flexes, The Crease Doesn't

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra First Impressions: Foldables have spent years chasing one goal: becoming indistinguishable from a regular smartphone when folded, and an uncompromised tablet when opened. Every generation has brought slimmer designs, better cameras and more power. But there has always been one reminder that you were using a foldable: the crease. With the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Samsung believes it has finally found an answer. And after spending some time with it, I think it just might have. On first look, the way Samsung dealt with the crease issue may remind you of the Oppo Find N6, and that's no small feat. The Crease Is Still There. But You'll Have To Go Looking For It Yes, the crease hasn't magically disappeared. But thanks to Samsung's new Flex Titanium display structure, it has become dramatically less noticeable than before. Samsung has completely reworked the display stack. The company now uses a titanium-alloy film beneath the OLED panel that's said to be nearly 20 times stiffer than the polymer material used previously, while remaining incredibly thin. Supporting it from underneath is a titanium plate that helps reduce tiny gaps within the display layers, giving the panel better structural support every time you unfold it. The result? The display feels flatter, sturdier and noticeably more seamless. During my hands-on, I genuinely had to tilt the phone under direct lighting before the crease became obvious. In regular use, your eyes simply stop noticing it after a few moments. Even running your fingers over the screen won't help you feel the crease bump you see on a couple-generations-old Fold models.  That's probably the biggest compliment I can give a foldable. ALSO READ: Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Review: Move Over AirPods, There's A New Benchmark Setter In Town Slimmer Than Before, Yet Somehow Bigger Everywhere That Matters Samsung continues shaving millimetres off the Fold every year, and honestly, we're approaching Nolan-level madness at this point. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra measures just 4.1mm when unfolded, making it 0.1mm slimmer than last year's Fold 7. Folded, it remains an impressively pocketable 8.3mm, while weighing just 215g, making it feel surprisingly light considering you're carrying what essentially becomes a tablet. The outer display also feels far more usable than early Fold generations ever did. It now offers a full-HD+ resolution that feels perfectly capable for everyday tasks without constantly nudging you to unfold the phone. Open it up, though, and you're greeted by what is arguably Samsung's finest foldable display yet. At 3,000 nits peak brightness, it's actually brighter than the already excellent Galaxy S26 Ultra, which tops out at 2,600 nits. Combined with a sharp 2504 x 2256 resolution and 422ppi pixel density, everything from HDR videos to news articles looks absolutely gorgeous. Ultra Cameras Are No Longer Reserved For The Ultra Phone Samsung also seems done making camera compromises for its foldables. Leading the setup is the familiar 200MP primary sensor capable of HDR imaging, joined by a significantly upgraded 50MP ultra-wide camera, a massive jump from the 12MP sensor seen on the previous generation. There's also a 10MP telephoto lens completing the trio. It is, on paper at least, the closest a Fold has come to matching Samsung's traditional Ultra phones. Samsung has also introduced APV Codec support for improved video quality and more efficient recording, something creators will certainly appreciate.  I'll reserve judgement until we've fully tested the cameras, but this is easily the most ambitious Fold camera system Samsung has built. Ultra Performance, Ultra Battery, Now Ultra AI Too Powering everything is the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset found inside the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which means performance really shouldn't be a concern. Samsung has finally paired that flagship silicon with a much-needed battery upgrade. The Fold 8 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery (the first Fold to do so) a welcome jump from the long-standing 4,400mAh capacity. Charging also gets faster with 45W wired charging, capable of reaching 67 per cent in around 30 minutes, alongside 20W wireless charging. Samsung claims up to 27 hours of video playback, though we'll naturally put those numbers through our own testing. On the software front, one of my favourite additions from the Galaxy S26 Ultra has made its way here too. Now Nudge, Samsung's AI automation feature, quietly works in the background, spotting useful information from your emails, chats and reminders (depending on the permissions you allow) to automatically suggest calendar events, reminders and other helpful actions. It's one of those AI features that doesn't scream for attention, but actually saves time. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: Early Verdict The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra doesn't feel like Samsung chasing flashy gimmicks anymore. Instead, it feels like years of refinement finally coming together. The crease is no longer something that constantly reminds you you're using a foldable. The display is brighter than Samsung's own flagship slab phone. The cameras are finally catching up. The battery has received the upgrade users have been asking for, and the software continues becoming genuinely useful rather than simply AI for AI's sake. If first impressions are anything to go by, Samsung may have just built its most complete foldable yet. The full review, of course, will tell us whether that promise holds up in everyday use. Until then, stay tuned to ABP Live.

Gold Silver Rate Today (July 22): Metals On The Rise, Check Latest Rates In Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, More

Gold Silver Rate Today: Gold and silver prices moved higher on Wednesday, supported by fresh buying interest and firm demand in the spot market, even as investors continued to weigh inflation concerns, crude oil prices and the outlook for US interest rates. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for August delivery climbed Rs 1,580, or 1.11 per cent, to Rs 1,44,463 per 10 grams. The contracts witnessed a business turnover of 790 lots. According to market analysts, the rise was driven by fresh positions created by traders amid steady demand in the domestic spot market. Internationally, gold futures also traded in positive territory, rising 1.23 per cent to $4,127.3 per ounce in New York. However, analysts said the broader outlook for bullion continues to be influenced by rising crude oil prices, which have revived concerns over inflation and prompted investors to reassess expectations for US monetary policy. Higher inflation could delay or reduce the scope for interest rate cuts, limiting the upside for non-yielding assets such as gold despite its traditional appeal as a safe-haven investment. Silver prices also advanced, with spot silver rising 0.8 per cent to $60.46 per ounce in the international market. The softer US dollar provided additional support to precious metals by making dollar-denominated bullion cheaper for overseas buyers, helping improve global demand. Even so, market participants remain cautious as expectations of elevated interest rates continue to weigh on sentiment. Higher borrowing costs increase the opportunity cost of holding precious metals, which do not offer any interest income. Renewed geopolitical tensions between the US and Iran have also kept investors focused on inflation risks, adding another layer of uncertainty to the outlook for gold and silver prices. No Aadhaar Verification, No Online Vehicle Transfer? New Parivahan Rule Explained

Vehicle owners across India will now have to complete Aadhaar verification while applying for a transfer of ownership or obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) through the Parivahan portal, following a new requirement introduced by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The move has been implemented nationwide and is aimed at strengthening identity verification during vehicle-related transactions. According to the ministry, the updated process is intended to curb fraudulent transfers, prevent unauthorised sales and improve the accuracy of vehicle registration records by linking them with Aadhaar-based identity details. Aadhaar Authentication Required For Online Applications Under the revised system, applicants seeking to transfer vehicle ownership or obtain an NOC must provide their Aadhaar details while submitting their application on the Parivahan portal, reported NDTV. If the Aadhaar information matches the details already available in the vehicle records, the request can be processed online without additional steps. However, the portal has introduced a multi-stage verification process if discrepancies are detected between the applicant's Aadhaar details and the information available on record. Additional Verification For Mismatched Records Applicants whose Aadhaar details do not fully match the information available on the Parivahan portal will be required to provide their driving licence details for further verification. If the mismatch is resolved after validating the driving licence information, the online process can continue. However, where discrepancies continue to exist between the Aadhaar database, the Registration Certificate (RC) and the driving licence records, the online application cannot be completed. In such cases, applicants will have to visit their designated Regional Transport Office (RTO) with the necessary identity documents for manual verification before the transaction can proceed. Also Read : 8th Pay Commission: From Pay Scale Merger To Rs 69,000 Basic Pay, What Employees Are Seeking Move Aims To Reduce Fraudulent Vehicle Transfers The ministry's latest requirement seeks to address concerns surrounding fraudulent vehicle sales and unauthorised ownership transfers, particularly in the pre-owned vehicle market. By linking vehicle records with Aadhaar-based identity verification, only verified vehicle owners will be able to initiate ownership transfers or apply for an interstate NOC through the online platform. The updated framework is also expected to improve the accuracy of records maintained on the national vehicle registration database. Vehicle Owners Advised To Check Records Before Applying With Aadhaar verification now forming a mandatory part of the online process, vehicle owners planning to sell their vehicles or move them to another state have been advised to ensure that their personal details are consistent across all relevant documents. Applicants should verify that their name, address and other demographic information match across their Aadhaar card, driving licence and Registration Certificate before submitting applications on the Parivahan portal. Doing so could help avoid verification issues and reduce the need for a physical visit to the Regional Transport Office. 8th Pay Commission: From Pay Scale Merger To Rs 69,000 Basic Pay, What Employees Are Seeking

The 8th Pay Commission has entered a crucial stage as it continues consultations with employees, pensioners and other stakeholders before finalising its recommendations on salaries, pensions and allowances. The panel is expected to recommend changes that could affect nearly one crore beneficiaries, including around 50 lakh central government employees and about 65 lakh pensioners, including retired defence personnel. While the commission's final report is still some time away, employee organisations have already submitted several proposals, with a restructuring of the existing pay matrix emerging as one of their key demands. The 8th Central Pay Commission, chaired by former Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, was constituted on November 3, 2025. Former IAS officer Pankaj Jain is the Member-Secretary, while Professor Pulak Ghosh, a member of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council, is also part of the commission. Why Are Employee Unions Seeking A Pay Scale Merger? One of the major suggestions placed before the commission is the merger of multiple pay levels under the existing pay matrix. Employee representatives have proposed combining Levels 2 and 3, Levels 4 and 5, Levels 7 and 8, and Levels 9 and 10 into common pay scales. According to the employee body, officials in these grades often perform similar responsibilities and receive comparable salaries, yet continue to be placed in separate pay levels. They argue that this has led to disparities in career progression and employee satisfaction over time. Another proposal calls for a one-time revision for employees currently placed in Level 5 by merging them with Level 6. According to the employee body, a large number of Group C employees working in departments such as the Central Secretariat, Defence, Railways and Postal Services have remained in Level 5 for an extended period, limiting opportunities for career advancement. Also Read : Trump Unveils Up To 200% Tariff On Generic Drugs By 2028: What It Means For India NC-JCM Pushes For Wider Changes Among the organisations that have submitted recommendations is the National Council-Joint Consultative Machinery (NC-JCM), one of the largest representative bodies for central government employees. According to reports, the NC-JCM has urged the commission to increase the minimum basic pay to Rs 69,000. It has also proposed a simplified pay structure, salary components linked to housing and utilities, pension reforms, and an annual increment of 6 per cent instead of the existing 3 per cent. The organisation has argued that salaries should be linked more closely to inflation to help preserve employees' purchasing power. Reports also suggest that the NC-JCM has sought simpler promotion policies to improve career progression and reduce stagnation across various departments. Other Suggestions Placed Before The Commission Apart from changes to the pay structure, employee organisations have reportedly recommended improvements to several service-related benefits. These include easier provident fund withdrawals, quicker settlement of medical reimbursement claims, enhanced life insurance coverage for employees and pensioners, and simplified procedures for income tax-related documentation. These issues have also been raised during the stakeholder consultation process being conducted by the commission. Consultation Process Continues The commission concluded the first phase of public consultations on June 15. It will continue collecting data and inputs from ministries and government departments until July 31. Since March, members of the commission have been visiting different states to interact with employee associations, pensioners' groups and other stakeholders. Representatives from major government departments, including the Railways and Defence, have also participated in these discussions. The feedback received during these consultations is expected to help shape the commission's recommendations on salaries, pensions and allowances. When Could The Recommendations Be Submitted? The 8th Pay Commission is expected to submit its report around 18 months after its constitution. If the current timeline remains unchanged, the recommendations could be submitted between February and April 2027. However, previous pay commissions have taken additional time before their recommendations were fully implemented. Based on past trends, the revised pay structure could take another two to three years to be rolled out after the report is submitted. For now, the commission remains in the consultation phase, with its eventual recommendations expected to determine the salary, pension and allowance structure for nearly one crore serving and retired central government personnel over the coming years. The Centre is preparing to monetise the Airports Authority of India's (AAI) minority holdings in Delhi and Mumbai airports, with the proposed transactions expected to form part of the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) 2.0, according to official sources. AAI owns a 26 per cent stake in both Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) and Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL). Citing sources, Financial Express reported that the stake sale process could begin in the coming months, with the government looking to unlock value from mature infrastructure assets. Government Targets Nearly Rs 5,750 Crore Over Two Years According to the report, the Centre expects equity disinvestment through AAI under NMP 2.0 to generate around Rs 2,800 crore in FY27 and another Rs 2,950 crore in FY28. The proposed transactions are likely to be executed through private placements. Apart from the holdings in Delhi and Mumbai airports, the government also plans to monetise AAI's stake in one of its subsidiaries and four joint venture airports under the programme. According to them, fiscal pressures linked to the US-Iran conflict have increased the urgency of monetisation plans. The geopolitical situation and resulting oil supply disruptions have led to higher fertiliser subsidy requirements while also creating fresh spending commitments to shield various sectors from the impact. Why Investors Could Be Interested According to the report, the proposed stake sales are expected to attract significant investor interest because of the scale and commercial strength of both airports. DIAL, in which GMR Airports Ltd owns 64 per cent, Germany's Fraport AG holds 10 per cent and AAI owns the remaining 26 per cent, handled around 65 million passengers in FY23. Passenger traffic rose to approximately 74 million in FY24. MIAL, which is 74 per cent owned by the Adani Group, handled around 53 million passengers in FY24 and about 55 million in FY25. The two companies oversee the development, operations and commercial management of Delhi and Mumbai airports respectively. Sovereign functions, including security, immigration and air traffic control, remain outside their responsibilities. Recent Airport Deals Signal Strong Market Appetite Previous transactions suggest that investors continue to see value in airport infrastructure assets. In 2025, Fairfax India Holdings acquired an additional 10 per cent stake in Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) from Siemens Project Ventures GmbH for $255 million (around Rs 2,116 crore). Earlier, in 2021, Adani Airport Holdings bought a 23.5 per cent stake in Mumbai airport from ACSA Global and Bid Services Division for Rs 1,685 crore. According to the report, these deals reflect healthy demand for airport assets, which is expected to support the government's plans to monetise AAI's holdings in Delhi and Mumbai airports. ABP LIVE Doc Talk | Hepatitis B Vs Hepatitis C: Myths, Symptoms And Prevention Explained

Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C are viral types of liver disease that are often not diagnosed until damage occurs to the liver. Knowing how they are spread, separating the myths and truths, and having early testing and treatment can help keep people and their families from having long-term liver disease. Knowing More About Hepatitis B And Hepatitis C And Why It's Important Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C are diseases that are transmitted by viruses and affect the liver. The liver has various important functions such as detoxification, digestion, and storage of nutrients. These viruses can inflame the liver. Some improve completely while others have long-term infection, which may gradually cause liver damage over several years. Untreated, chronic hepatitis may result in liver cirrhosis, liver failure, or liver cancer. ALSO READ | ABP LIVE Doc Talk | Childhood Leukemia: Early Signs Every Parent Should Never Ignore The biggest problem is the fact that these infections frequently do not have symptoms in early stages. Many people feel perfectly fine and may not know they have the disease until they have routine blood tests or complications arise. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that there are millions of people in the world suffering from chronic hepatitis B or C, which is why it is very important to be aware of hepatitis, to diagnose it early, and to treat it in time. Common Myths, Facts And Symptoms Of Hepatitis B And C There are many misconceptions about Hepatitis B and C. A myth is that these infections are transmitted by sharing food, hugging, shaking hands, coughing, or sharing the same utensils. In fact, they are not transmitted by casual contact. Hepatitis B is transmitted in infected blood and body fluids, such as from a mother to her child at birth, from one person to another through unprotected sex, and through sharing contaminated needles. Transmission of Hepatitis C is primarily from contact with infected blood, for example via unsafe injection, unsterilised medical supplies, and sharing of needles.Another myth is that only those who have symptoms can have hepatitis. In fact, many people who are infected may not have symptoms for years. If symptoms do occur, they can range from fatigue, decreased appetite, nausea, fever, abdominal pain, dark urine, yellowing of the eyes and skin (jaundice), to unexplained weight loss. ALSO READ | ABP LIVE Doc Talk | Eye Strain, Dry Eyes And Myopia: How Summer Screen Time Impacts Children's Vision Who Is At Risk, Prevention, Early Diagnosis And Treatment Hepatitis B or C can occur in anyone, but some individuals are more likely to get it. These include health care workers, those who regularly receive blood transfusions, dialysis patients, and individuals who share injection drugs, babies born to mothers with Hepatitis B, and people who have unprotected sex with someone who is infected. Family members of an infected individual should also talk to their health care provider about screening and vaccination, if indicated. The great news is that Hepatitis B is preventable with a safe and effective vaccination program. There's no vaccine for Hepatitis C currently, so prevention is even more critical. Do not share needles, medical instruments, toothbrushes, nail clippers, or razors, and always make sure injection equipment, tattoo equipment, and medical instruments are sterile. Fortunately, blood tests can be used to detect both Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. With early diagnosis, doctors can track the health of the liver and treatment can be started if needed. Chronic Hepatitis B may need to be monitored over a long period of time and, in some cases, treated with antiviral drugs to keep the virus under control, but most cases of Hepatitis C are now curable if treatment is begun early. Self-medication or home remedies that haven't been verified should be avoided since they may further damage the liver or delay correct treatment. It's crucial to have follow-up with a gastroenterologist or liver specialist to check the condition and to prevent complications.  Families should not be afraid, nor be stigmatized, by persons living with hepatitis since these infections are not transmitted through normal social contact. There are easy things to do to help protect your liver: Be sure to get vaccinated against Hepatitis B, follow good hygiene practices, avoid being exposed to infected blood, and ask your healthcare provider for advice if you are at risk. By identifying and treating early, complications can be avoided, quality of life enhanced, and healthier families and communities created.Disclaimer: The information provided in the article is shared by experts and is intended for general informational purposes only. Why Is The Stock Market Falling Today? Sensex, Nifty Hit By Oil And Pharma Sell-Off

Dalal Street remained firmly bearish in Wednesday’s morning trade. At around 11:20 am, the Sensex stood at 76,872.62, down 597.49 points or 0.77 per cent, while the Nifty 50 traded at 24,037.65, lower by 150.05 points or 0.62 per cent. Rising crude oil prices, renewed tensions in West Asia and pressure on the rupee kept investors cautious despite supportive overseas markets. The weakness extended beyond frontline stocks. The Nifty Bank declined 587.65 points, or 1.02 per cent, to 57,247.70. The Nifty Midcap 100 slipped 0.58 per cent to 62,621.25, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 fell 0.97 per cent to 19,239. The sharper decline in smallcaps indicated that risk aversion had spread across the broader market rather than remaining limited to index heavyweights. Auto stocks provided the only meaningful pocket of strength, with the Nifty Auto index gaining 0.35 per cent. Strong quarterly performances from Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor supported the sector. Also Read : Trump Unveils Up To 200% Tariff On Generic Drugs By 2028: What It Means For India On the losing side, the Nifty PSU Bank index dropped 1.40 per cent, Nifty Pharma declined 1.25 per cent and Nifty Bank lost 1.02 per cent. Pharmaceutical shares came under pressure after the US announced plans for steep tariffs on imported generic medicines, raising fresh concerns for Indian drug exporters. Among individual stocks, Bandhan Bank crashed about 14 per cent after management lowered its return on assets outlook despite reporting an improvement in quarterly profit and asset quality. Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor gained more than 3 per cent each following strong results. BlueStone Jewellery jumped around 8 per cent to Rs 785 after reporting a Q1 net profit of Rs 14 crore, compared with a loss of Rs 21 crore in the year earlier period. The latest provisional cash market data for Tuesday, July 21, showed that foreign institutional investors were net buyers of Rs 1,650.16 crore. Domestic institutional investors, however, recorded net selling of Rs 656.88 crore. The divergence suggests that domestic institutions booked some profits even as overseas investors provided limited support. Global markets offered a positive backdrop, but domestic sentiment remained dominated by oil and currency concerns. The S&P 500 rose 0.9 per cent, the Dow gained 0.7 per cent and the Nasdaq advanced 1.3 per cent in the previous US session. Asian markets were also mostly higher. However, Brent crude at around USD 92.67 per barrel and the rupee near 96.36 against the US dollar outweighed those gains. For the remainder of the session, Nifty’s 24,000 mark remains the immediate pivot. A recovery above 24,100 could improve Intraday sentiment, while the 24,270 to 24,300 zone may act as a stronger hurdle. Traders will also track results from Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Nestle India, Eternal, IndusInd Bank and major energy companies, along with crude prices, the rupee and fresh geopolitical developments. The market remains highly sensitive to headlines, making disciplined position sizing more important than reacting to every intraday move.  Also Read : Tariffs, West Asia War Terror Strike Dalal Street: Sensex Tanks 400 Points, Nifty Tests 24,100 (“Disclaimer: This article uses information originally published by Dalal Street Investment Journal (DSIJ).
