When Is Ashadha Month 2025? Know Dates, Rituals, And What Not To Do During This Sacred Period

The Hindu month of Ashadha, beginning on 12 June 2025, holds great religious importance. Devotees worship Lord Vishnu and Surya Dev during this period. During this time, the environment starts to shift, with slight humidity and the onset of the monsoon. Spiritually, this month is considered highly sacred, yet it also marks the start of Chaturmas, a four-month period when auspicious events like weddings and housewarmings are avoided.

Ashadha is rich with significant religious festivals and observances, including Gupt Navratri, Guru Purnima, Devshayani Ekadashi, Jagannath Rath Yatra, and Jaya Parvati Vrat. Devotees focus on bhajan-kirtans, spiritual discipline, and religious ceremonies, which are believed to bear great fruit during this sacred period.
