WATCH: Bhagavad Gita Found Intact In Wreckage Of Ahmedabad Air India Crash, Video Viral

In a miraculous scene from the aftermath of the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, a copy of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita was discovered sustaining minimal impact from flames, its pages entirely preserved. A video of a man holding the undamaged copy among the charred debris has gone viral, stirring spiritual reflection as well as public discussion.

ABP LIVE could not independently verify the authenticity of the claim.

The discovery was made at the crash site where flight AI 171, en route to London, collided with a medical college complex shortly after departing from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on 12 June. The accident claimed 297 lives. Among the 242 passengers were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British citizens, one Canadian, and seven Portuguese passengers, along with 12 crew members. Only one person, identified as Vishwash Kumar, who was seated in seat 11A, survived the disaster.

Video Viral Of Bhagavad Gita In Ahmedabad Air India Crash Triggers Reactions

The video of the intact Gita quickly gained traction, garnering views and various comments. While many users saw it as a testament to spiritual endurance, others expressed scepticism and raised philosophical concerns. One comment read, “Gita says: it is karma;  Body died; not atma.”

Another user, however, challenged this notion: “This is the best proof that god does not exist. Even all the atheists in this world cannot provide a better proof. Thanks Amit bhai.” Others reflected on the irony of the situation, with one person commenting, “It would have been great if Gita ke saath log bhi bache hote. What's the point of showing that nothing happened to Bhagwad Gita but rest all died. That questions God's love even more, ki crash main book bacha li, log marne diye! I have a Gita in my temple too, am not disrespecting, but stating that this kind of news doesn't show "how great God is", it rather makes you question him further.”

Rescue Worker Describes the Scene After Ahmedabad Air India Plane Crash

According to Aaj Tak, the Gita appeared largely undamaged despite the intense heat that consumed most of the aircraft and its contents. The pages remained legible and intact, while only the outer cover showed some visible signs of burning.

A rescue worker at the crash site told Aaj Tak, “Maybe it belonged to a passenger… someone must have been reading it. That’s why it’s here. Despite the intense heat, it remained intact. Every single picture, including that of Swami Prabhupada (the founder of ISKCON) is still exactly the same.”

While there were minor smudges on some pages, the book’s preservation has astonished onlookers. The images and footage of the holy text have continued to circulate widely online, with many calling it divine intervention and others attributing it to mere coincidence.
