Jyeshtha Purnima 2025 — Know Date, Puja Muhurat, Moonrise Timings, And Vrat Rituals

Purnima holds great religious importance in Sanatan Dharma. Considered highly auspicious for rituals, bathing, and charitable acts, the full moon day of the month of Jyeshtha carries its own spiritual significance. However, there is confusion this year regarding the exact date of Jyeshtha Purnima in 2025 — some believe it falls on June 10, while others say it will be observed on June 11.

    Jyeshtha Purnima 2025 Shubh Muhurat

    • Purnima Tithi Begins: Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11:35 AM
    • Purnima Tithi Ends: Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 01:13 PM

Jyeshtha Purnima 2025: June 10 Or June 11?

The confusion arises due to the overlapping timings of the tithi. Jyeshtha Purnima is a spiritually significant day for performing sacred rituals such as fasting, charity, bathing, and especially worshipping the Moon.

According to the experts, Jyeshtha Purnima will be observed on June 11, 2025, as per the Udaya Tithi (the tithi prevailing at sunrise). However, since the Purnima tithi will end by the afternoon, and moon worship is traditionally performed after moonrise, those observing the Moon worship may choose to fast and perform rituals on June 10 instead. The moonrise on June 10 is expected at 6:45 PM.

    Vrat And Puja Timings

If you're planning to observe Vat Purnima Vrat, perform Satyanarayan Puja, or keep the regular Purnima fast, then you should follow the Udaya Tithi tradition. In that case, June 11, 2025, is the ideal date to perform the vrat, puja, and associated rituals including holy baths and donations.
