Bill Gates Admits To Affairs With Russian Women, Calls Epstein Meetings A 'Huge Mistake'

Bill Gates has admitted that he had two affairs with Russian women, saying the relationships were personal mistakes and did not involve Jeffrey Epstein or any of his victims. Speaking during a recent town hall at the Gates Foundation, the Microsoft co-founder apologised for decisions that have affected the organisation’s reputation. He said Epstein later became aware of the affairs, but insisted he “did nothing illicit” and never engaged in criminal activity.  Gates also acknowledged that his association with Epstein was a serious error in judgment that continues to raise questions. Bill Gates Russian Affair: What He Revealed During the meeting, Gates clearly spoke about his personal relationships. He said, “I did have affairs, one with a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events, and one with a Russian nuclear physicist whom I met through business activities.” He explained that these affairs were consensual and did not involve Epstein. Gates also said, “I did nothing illicit. I saw nothing illicit,” while responding to concerns about his past connection with Epstein. According to him, Epstein later became aware of these affairs, but was not part of them in any way. Gates added, “To be clear, I never spent any time with victims, the women around him,” making it clear that his personal relationships were separate from Epstein’s crimes. He admitted that meeting Epstein was a serious error. “It was a huge mistake to spend time with Epstein,” he said during the town hall. Gates also acknowledged that the controversy has affected the foundation’s public image. Russian Affair Controversy And Impact On Gates Foundation The Russian affair controversy has added more pressure on Gates and his philanthropic work. He admitted that his past actions have cast a shadow over the foundation’s reputation. Gates also mentioned that his former wife, Melinda French Gates, had raised concerns earlier. “To give her credit, she was always kind of sceptical about the Epstein thing,” he said. He further apologised, saying, “I apologise to other people who are drawn into this because of the mistake that I made,” accepting that his decisions created unwanted attention. While Gates maintains he broke no laws, the admission about his Russian affairs has renewed scrutiny. He says he now understands how his association with Epstein helped normalise a situation that should have raised red flags.

Jetour T2 Set To Become JSW’s First Homegrown-Badged SUV

JSW Motors has teased it's first car the Jetour T2 inviting for dealer partners as it aims to start building it's network before it's India entry. JSW will exist independently from JSW MG while bringing in a lot of products from Chinese giant Chery. The car teased is the Jetour T2 which as we have reported earlier is coming to India but would be extensively changed for our market as well. Product Positioning and Launch Timeline The Jetour T2 will come in plug in hybrid form and will be a premium SUV positioned as a Fortuner rival but could be priced lower given how aggressively JSW could position it's first product. The car most probably will have a JSW logo and have some small changes over the Jetour T2 available outside India but largely the hybrid powertrain would be the same. The ad also states that the launch is underway as planned with a third quarter of 2026 being the expected date for launch of the brand. The Jetour T2 would be the start with numerous new launches also coming after that. Manufacturing Plans and Expected Pricing The Jetour T2 would be assembled at the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar plant in Maharashtra where JSW has done a huge investment. While there could be regulatory hurdles for JSW importing components the launch it seems is on track with price tag of about 30-45 lakh being expected for the plug in hybrid SUV.

Aston Martin Layoffs: Luxury Carmaker Slashes 20% Jobs Amid Debt And Tariff Pressure

Aston Martin, the iconic British luxury carmaker  is entering another difficult chapter. The company confirmed on Wednesday that it will reduce its workforce by a further 20 per cent, marking a second round of job cuts as annual profits fell short of expectations. The move underlines the growing pressures facing global premium automakers, from geopolitical trade barriers to shifting demand patterns in key markets such as China, reported The Financial Express. A Second Wave Of Job Cuts The latest announcement represents a significant restructuring effort for the storied manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers. According to a Reuters report, the company has been battling a challenging environment marked by weaker sales and rising trade complications. Management described the current US quota-based tariff system as “extremely disruptive.” The tariff framework has complicated exports to one of the world’s most important luxury car markets, adding cost pressures and operational uncertainty. For a niche manufacturer that depends heavily on international sales, such disruptions can quickly impact profitability. At the same time, demand in China, historically a critical growth engine for premium automakers, has been “extremely subdued,” the company said. The slowdown in Chinese appetite for high-end performance vehicles has further tightened cash flows. Debt Pressures Continue To Mount Behind the headline-grabbing job cuts lies a deeper financial strain. Aston Martin currently carries debt of 1.38 billion pounds ($1.87 billion). Although the company has received repeated capital injections in recent years to strengthen its balance sheet, servicing this debt continues to weigh heavily on its financial performance. The carmaker indicated that cash outflows are expected to continue into 2026, signalling that the recovery may not be immediate. However, management expressed hope that financial conditions could improve in subsequent years once restructuring measures begin to stabilise operations. For investors and industry observers, the concern is not merely about one difficult year, but about how long the brand can sustain itself under mounting financial pressure.
