War Watch: Day 25 Sees Iran Reject Donald Trump Talks Claim Amid Escalation

The conflict has entered its 25th day with no immediate signs of de-escalation, despite fresh claims of possible diplomatic progress. Former US President Donald Trump stated that Washington was engaged in “positive talks” with Iran and suggested a temporary pause in targeting critical infrastructure such as power plants. However, Tehran has categorically denied any negotiations with the United States, calling Trump’s statements misleading and politically motivated. On the ground, hostilities continue to intensify. Iran has reportedly launched a fresh wave of missile and drone attacks targeting multiple locations in Israel and US-linked positions across the Gulf region. In response, Israeli forces have struck Iranian military assets, including reported hits in Tehran, where significant damage has been indicated. Diplomatic efforts, however, are unfolding behind the scenes. According to reports, countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan have initiated quiet mediation, later joined by Qatar, Oman, France, and the United Kingdom. A proposed five-day temporary ceasefire is reportedly under consideration, though uncertainty persists. The possibility of high-level talks, potentially involving US Vice President J.D. Vance, signals that diplomatic channels remain open even as military actions continue.
