    Miraz appointed as new ODI captain for Bangladesh cricket team

    Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the 27-year-old all-rounder, has been appointed as Bangladesh's new ODI captain, succeeding Najmul Hossain Shanto. Miraz, currently ranked fourth globally among ODI all-rounders, will commence his captaincy during the upcoming three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka in July. He expressed pride in leading the team and confidence in their ability to play fearless cricket.
