    'Impossible to have three captains': Agarkar on Gill replacing Rohit as ODI captain

    Shubman Gill has been named India's ODI captain, replacing Rohit Sharma, as part of a strategic move to consolidate leadership across formats. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar cited long-term planning for the 2027 World Cup and the impracticality of having three different captains. Gill, already Test captain, also serve as T20I vice-captain under Suryakumar Yadav.
