    People bring home Ganpati idols, perform daily aartis, offer bhog, and chant mantras. While many prefer public celebrations with huge pandals and cultural programs, others choose intimate home rituals.

    Here’s a simplified step-by-step process for performing Ganesh Chaturthi Puja at home:

    • Chant Sankalp, Avahan, and Pran Pratishtha mantras.
    • Offer Ashtopchar or Shodashopchar puja items—flowers, durva, modak, ladoo, milk, dhoop, deep, and panchamrit.
    • Recite Ganapati Atharvashirsh, 108 names, and perform morning and evening aartis.
    • Distribute prasad after the puja.
    • Avoid looking towards the moon during restricted time.
