Ahead of the release of Anurag Kashyap’s gritty thriller 'Bandar' on June 5, 2026, Bobby Deol made a candid appearance on 'Aap Ki Adalat', revisiting one of the most painful chapters of his career: being replaced in the 2007 romantic classic 'Jab We Met.' The actor revealed that he originally discovered director Imtiaz Ali's talent, brought Kareena Kapoor on board, and pitched the project to a production house, only to be dropped for Shahid Kapoor when his market value dipped. Reflecting on the betrayal almost two decades later, Bobby explained how he channeled his "hurt and anger" into fuel for his massive career resurgence including hits like 'Aashram', 'Animal', and his upcoming role as the tormented pop star Samar Mehra in 'Bandar.'
